15 Years Young and Going Strong

Chance’s mom said it best: “People should know that age is not a disease. If it’s in the best interest of your pet and their quality of life is good, then a disability is nothing compared to what they give back.”

At 15 years young, Chance has already proven he’s a fighter. He even survived Parvo as a puppy! So when the veterinarian recommended an enucleation (eye removal) to keep him comfortable and healthy, his mom knew he could take on the surgery like the champion he’s always been. Thanks to the compassionate care and expertise provided by our team, Chance was able to move forward with surgery and continue thriving.

It’s completely normal for pet parents to feel nervous about anesthesia for older pets. But age alone isn’t a deciding risk factor anymore. Thanks to modern veterinary technology, safer anesthetic drugs, advanced monitoring equipment, and individualized protocols, senior pets can undergo safe surgery like their younger counterparts.
