Chloe’s Close Call — and the Miracle That Saved Her

Last February, sweet Chloe walked in for what was supposed to be a routine senior wellness exam. It was a day that would change everything. Just hours later, Chloe vomited a large amount of partially digested food, and within hours, her condition began to rapidly decline. She grew weaker and became lethargic. When she was rushed to radiology at Anicira, the doctor’s grim discovery revealed a ruptured splenic mass that was causing severe internal bleeding.

In a desperate race against time, Chloe was rushed into surgery. Her mom, completely stunned, watched as everything she thought she knew about that day was turned upside down.
