Anicira to Open Los Angeles Location – Fall 2026
Anicira is excited to announce the opening of a new veterinary hospital in Los Angeles this fall. Located at 11924 West Washington Boulevard, in Culver City, the hospital will bring Anicira’s model of high-quality, accessible veterinary care to a new community and allow us to help thousands more pets and the families who love them.
The new hospital will offer surgical and dental services, providing Los Angeles-area pet owners with access to the same high standards of medicine, compassion, service and affordability that define Anicira’s care.
“We’re thrilled to bring Anicira to Los Angeles,” said Cate Lemmond, Anicira’s CEO and founding president. “We already know there is a need for our services in the area, with clients regularly traveling from Los Angeles to our San Diego hospital for care. We’re excited to make that care more accessible to the pets and families who live there.”
Los Angeles is one of the largest companion-animal veterinary markets in the country, and the need for accessible veterinary care is significant. The region has historically experienced high levels of shelter euthanasia, underscoring the importance of making essential veterinary services, including spay/neuter and other preventive and surgical care, more accessible to pet owners. By helping families access the care their pets need, Anicira hopes to help more pets remain healthy, in their homes and out of shelters.
The Los Angeles launch will also bring an experienced Anicira leader to the new location. Dr. Jasmine Alam (pictured here) will play an important role in launching and growing the new hospital. Dr. Alam previously practiced full-time at Anicira’s San Diego hospital for approximately before relocating to Los Angeles for her spouse’s career. She has remained connected to Anicira through part-time work and brings extensive surgical experience, a deep understanding of Anicira’s culture and a strong commitment to its mission.
“Having Dr. Alam return to Anicira is an exciting part of our Los Angeles launch,” Lemmond said. “She knows our team, our approach to medicine and our mission, and her experience will be incredibly valuable as we begin serving the Los Angeles community.”
