Traveler’s Journey

Every pet deserves a life full of happiness and health.

At just five months old, Traveler had already endured unimaginable suffering. He was found alone on the side of a highway on a cold, rainy day—broken, sick, and barely hanging on. It’s likely he had either taken refuge in a car engine or been thrown from a moving vehicle.

Thanks to a compassionate stranger and the support of amazing partners like the Humane Society of Shenandoah County, Traveler got the urgent medical care he needed. His tail and leg, too damaged to save, were amputated. He battled pneumonia caused by a severe respiratory infection. Because he received high-quality veterinary care, he survived.

Today, Traveler is safe, healed, and loved in his forever home—all because a community came together to care.
