Love, Loss, and Healing: Ske’s Story

In 2015, after experiencing the heartbreaking loss of their son at 34 weeks pregnant, Ske’s family found solace in an unexpected source—a rescue pup who would soon become their greatest comfort. “We rescued Ske in 2015 after losing our son,” his mom shares. “He’s been my baby ever since.”

From the moment Ske entered their lives, he was more than just a pet—he was a source of healing, love, and unwavering companionship. Through life’s highs and lows, Ske stood by their side, offering comfort in ways only a beloved dog can.

So when Ske suddenly fell ill in January, his family knew they had to act fast. A trip to the emergency room and an abdominal ultrasound revealed the cause—Ske had ingested a foreign object and needed emergency lifesaving surgery. Unfortunately, the cost of emergency surgery was out of reach.

Through Sashi’s Fund, Ske was able to receive the life-saving surgery he needed. “They’ve been a blessing to us. I’m so thankful,” says Ske’s mom.

The surgery went well, and this big, cuddly boy is on the mend.
