The Story of Honey and Stevie

In the city of Charleston, fate brought together a skittish kitten named Honey and her devoted caregiver, Stevie. Shy and elusive Honey spent the first four months of her life hiding in a night-blooming jasmine bush. Despite her wariness, Stevie’s patience and a can of tuna worked magic, coaxing Honey out from her floral refuge and into a loving embrace.

“Circumstances added up to what I think was a destined meeting, and I plucked her from a bush like a little fruit.” The chance encounter led to a long-lasting relationship. “Honey is about 11 years old now, and she’s been with me ever since.”

Recently, Honey faced several health challenges. She developed pneumonia, and soon after recovering, she began experiencing eye problems. When antibiotics failed to resolve the issue, an enucleation was recommended to ensure her health and comfort. Seeking a more affordable option, Stevie turned to Anicira.

Thanks to our team’s hard work and skill, Honey’s surgery went smoothly. Stevie couldn’t be more grateful for the care her beloved cat received.

“My two kitties are the loves of my life. I’m a millennial who can barely afford myself, let alone a house and a family — I know it’s not the same as a human child, but Kiki and Honey are so, so, so important to me. They make me get out of bed in the morning, they make me take care of myself so I can take care of them, and I love them with all of my heart.”

Expressing her gratitude for Anicira, Stevie shares, “By caring for Honey and easing her pain, Anicira’s services have genuinely eased my own anxieties. My experience with Anicira was a positive one during a very frightening time. Everyone I interacted with was kind and patient and took the time to answer my questions, take my phone calls, and ease my fears over Honey.”
