Keith’s Story

Meet Keith, a resilient 16-year-old, 11-pound Chihuahua who got a new lease on life thanks to his loving parents. Keith’s dad, Butch, was referred to us by his primary care vet. Keith had been struggling with worsening glaucoma despite ongoing treatments and medications. Faced with a high estimate for eye removal surgery, Butch was heartbroken, fearing he couldn’t afford to make Keith comfortable.

Since Butch and his wife treat their pets like their children, they were desperate for a solution. When Butch reached out to us, he was hopeful we could perform an affordable bilateral enucleation. Upon receiving our estimate, Butch was ecstatic and deeply grateful.

We all adored Keith, who was an excellent patient. Butch was moved to tears when he saw Keith’s new look, overjoyed that his beloved Chihuahua could live comfortably again.
