Driven by Love: Reagan’s Road to Healing
Reagan’s family had a feeling that something just wasn’t right with their beloved dog. After several veterinary visits and diagnostic tests, they finally had an answer: Reagan had a mass on her spleen, and surgery was strongly recommended.
As they began gathering estimates, the cost quickly became overwhelming. While searching for a place that could offer both high-quality and affordable care, they found Anicira.
Reagan’s family traveled 355 miles — more than six hours — from New York to Virginia, driven by love and the hope of giving her the care she deserved.
During surgery, Reagan’s spleen was removed and sent out for biopsy. To everyone’s relief, the mass was not cancerous.
Now, weeks later, Reagan is healing beautifully. Her dad shared, “Her recovery has been excellent so far, and she is doing great. Reagan loves to play with her toys, and her favorite is her duck. Her favorite place to go is her grandma’s house to steal meatballs off the table.”
Stories like Reagan’s are why we do what we do. It’s an honor to support families who love their pets so deeply and would go any distance for them.
Reagan will be turning 14 on New Year’s Eve. Here’s to many more moments, miles, stolen meatballs, and memories.
