Donations at Work: Blue Receives Life-Saving Surgery

Blue the black cat with a red bandage on their right leg sticking out bubblegum pink tongue

Soon after giving birth to a litter of kittens, Blue developed a prolapsed rectum. Rectal prolapse can be extremely painful and may inhibit a cat’s ability to eliminate waste leading to death. With the help of a grant from the David Feline Fund from the Community Foundation of the Central Blue Ridge, Blue was spayed and had rectal repair surgery. Blue is able to live a healthy life free of pain and future pregnancy. Her mom is very grateful for the help Blue received. “Blue is a sweet and loving cat, who would have died without your help.”
