Anicira’s Pet Food Pantry Serves Over 200,000 Meals in 2020

Anicira’s pet food pantry provided 110% more food in 2020 than the year prior, an astounding 226,558 meals to dogs and cats in our community. Widespread economic uncertainty and unemployment brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic caused the sharp increase in families needing pet food.

Distribution events take place the second Saturday of each month at Anicira’s Adoption Center and the fourth Thursday of each month at the Hope Distributed food pantry.

As the pandemic continues, Anicira is still serving a high number of families. This month alone, the pantry provided 7,700 pounds of food to 88 families. Please consider donating to help feed pets at risk of going hungry.
