Dr. Alam earned her bachelor’s degree in Wildlife and Fish Conservation Biology from UC Davis and went on to graduate from Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She has been working in the field since 2015, gaining experience with cattle, marine mammals, wildlife, and small animals before focusing her career on companion animal medicine.
Dr. Alam is especially passionate about surgery and the human–animal bond, and loves that her role at Anicira allows her to help pets and the people who love them—often during challenging times. Known for being adaptable and compassionate, Dr. Alam is dedicated to making sure every patient receives the best care possible and every client feels heard.
Outside of work, Dr. Alam enjoys brunch, gardening, baseball, comedy, and reading fantasy fiction. She and her partner, who is also a veterinarian, recently bought their first home and share it with three beloved dogs: Finley the Pittie, and their two pugs, Pablo and Chickpea.
