Andy’s Sticky Situation

Meet Andy! You might notice his “naughty” bandana, and yes, he earned it. This mischievous pup landed himself on the uh-oh list after rummaging through the family junk drawer and helping himself to… markers and Gorilla Glue.

Now, while markers are messy enough, Gorilla Glue is where things get seriously dangerous. When ingested, it doesn’t just sit in the stomach; it expands and hardens into a solid, foam-like mass. This can block the digestive tract entirely and requires emergency surgery to remove. Not exactly the kind of DIY project you want happening inside your dog!

Thankfully, Dr. Ashley Signorino at Anicira Manassas jumped into action and performed the surgery to get Andy back on track. His mom reports, “He’s fully recovered and back to his normal.”
