This award recognizes Anicira’s impact and commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate, and accessible veterinary care

[Encinitas, CA], [March 2, 2026] – Anicira Veterinary Center of San Diego has been recognized as one of America’s Best Animal Hospitals 2026 by Newsweek and Plant‑A Insights Group. The ranking is based on recommendations from pet parents and an evaluation using a large language model that assessed factors such as quality of care, customer service, pricing, and affordability, with additional consideration given to hospitals accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association.

“Pets are beloved members of the family and, just like any other loved one, families want to ensure that their pets receive the best care possible when they need it most,” stated Mary Golden-Hughes, Anicira’s Director of Advancement. “Awards such as this highlight Anicira’s commitment to providing the highest quality, most comprehensive, and compassionate veterinary care in our area. From spay and neuter surgeries, to soft-tissue and orthopedic surgeries, to dentistry procedures, Anicira is pleased to be acknowledged for our AAHA-accredited, life-saving work for the patients we care for and the people who love them.”

“Newsweek is proud to partner with Plant-A Insights for the second time to present America’s Best Animal Hospitals 2026, highlighting the 1,262 best hospitals offering the best care to pet,” stated Jennifer H.
