Cleo used to spend her days on a construction site, never interacting with any people. Out of the blue, she decided that she wanted a family, so she started following a friendly worker. At the end of the day, she hopped in his truck and adopted his family.
Cleo made herself right at home. “Cleo is the most lovable, affectionate cat you can find,” her mom told us. She eases her family member’s anxiety by providing calming companionship.
When Cleo developed a mass in her neck, her loving family brought her to Anicira for treatment. Financial hardship brought on by the ongoing pandemic would make it difficult for Cleo to receive the treatment she needs. Thankfully, Anicira has been awarded a grant from The Community Foundation of Harrisonburg and Rockingham County. This grant will improve access to veterinary care for pets like Cleo.
Because of this grant, Cleo will receive a procedure to remove a small mass on her chest and to improve her dental health without adding more financial stress to her family’s situation. Thank you to the Hildred Neff Memorial Fund of The Community Foundation of Harrisonburg and Rockingham County for your support!
