Keeping Pets Healthy and Safe: Anicira & Petco Love Host Successful Free Vaccine Clinic
In an effort to stop the spread of deadly yet preventable diseases among pets, Anicira proudly partnered with Petco Love to host a Free Vaccine Clinic on Saturday, April 5, 2025, as part of the Vaccinated and Loved initiative.
We are thrilled to share that the event was a huge success — we welcomed 220 pets and administered 193 DAPP/HCP vaccines and 206 rabies vaccines! It was an incredible turnout, and we are so grateful to everyone in the community who participated to help protect the health of their beloved companions.
Thanks to Petco Love‘s generous support, these lifesaving vaccines were offered completely free of charge to the community. Their national initiative, Vaccinated and Loved, was launched in August 2021 to increase access to vaccines and reduce the spread of dangerous diseases such as parvovirus and distemper in dogs and panleukopenia in cats—all of which are preventable through simple vaccinations.
“Thanks to Petco Love, we can offer these important vaccines at no cost to pet families,” said Mary Golden-Hughes, Anicira’s Marketing & Communications Manager. “We urge community members to take advantage of this free resource to ensure the health and wellness of our community’s pets.”
“It is heartbreaking when any pet suffers or dies from a disease that could have been prevented,” said Susanne Kogut, Petco Love President. “By creating greater awareness and making this crucial preventative care more accessible, we can prevent the dangerous spread of disease and save more pet lives.”
We also want to thank Petco Love for being a true champion of animal welfare. Their commitment to supporting pet health through initiatives like Vaccinated and Loved has made a lasting difference in the lives of countless animals and their families.
Once again, thank you to everyone who joined us — we can’t wait to host another vaccine clinic soon!
