Anicira Receives Grant Supporting Pit Fix Program

Anicira has been awarded a generous grant from the Virginia Federation of Humane Societies to support its Pit Fix program. This initiative addresses the overrepresentation of homeless Pit Bulls and Pit Bull mixes in our community by offering $40 affordable spay/neuter surgeries.

Last year alone, Anicira’s Pit Fix program successfully spayed/neutered 71 patients, addressing the overpopulation of Pit Bulls and mixes.

Anicira encourages all Pit Bull and Pit Bull mix owners residing in Harrisonburg City, Rockingham County, Manassas, and Manassas Park to take advantage of this opportunity to have their pets spayed or neutered. By participating in the Pit Fix program, community members can help reduce the number of homeless pets entering shelters.
