Skylar joined Anicira after spending seven years at the Shenandoah County Animal Shelter, where she developed a deep understanding of animal behavior and a passion for helping pets in need. She enjoys working alongside dedicated teammates and finds it especially rewarding to see pets thriving in loving homes with families who care deeply for them.
Guided by empathy and kindness, Skylar believes animals deserve strong advocates and is committed to helping pets feel safe and comfortable during their visits. Outside of work, she enjoys fishing, hunting, traveling, spending time outdoors, and caring for her farm animals. She shares her home with Frannie, a tuxedo cat and foster fail, as well as Gunner, a Chesapeake Bay Retriever, and Kaizer, an adopted American Pit Bull Terrier.
