Melissa’s love for animals and passion for learning shine through in her work at Anicira. After volunteering with Anicira’s Pet Pantry for three years, she joined the hospital team, where she supports animal care and clinical needs. Melissa takes extra care to help every patient feel safe and comfortable, whether that means singing to them, playing soothing music, or offering a reassuring cuddle. One of her favorite parts of the job is watching pets in her care relax and feel at ease.
Outside of work, Melissa treasures time with her family and her four dogs and four cats, several of whom have their own rescue stories. She enjoys gardening, shopping, and family dinners. Her children are her greatest accomplishment, and her compassion for animals is evident in the care she gives every patient. Melissa believes every animal deserves the same unconditional love we give our own pets.
