Mary has led marketing communications, community relations, partnership development, donor relations, and public relations for various industries, including healthcare, K-12 private education, higher education, and public library systems. She has also consulted for many local businesses and nonprofits to help them achieve strategic goals. Mary holds a B.A. in English Literature and Communications from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where she also studied performing arts and nonprofit management.
Mary is committed to breaking down barriers for her neighbors and connecting people to missions that benefit community needs. With a passion for animals, animal welfare, and access to affordable care for all living beings, the chance to lead Anicira’s advocacy efforts is Mary’s childhood dream come true.
Mary and her husband enjoy traveling, taking their Golden Retriever Penny on many adventures, and reveling when they get time to explore new places in the world with their three young adult children.
