Dr. Thompson earned her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine and joined Anicira in July 2021. Growing up on a ranch in rural New Mexico surrounded by animals, she knew from a young age that caring for them would be her life’s work.
She enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, with a special passion for partnering with pet parents to ensure each patient receives the best possible care. Dr. Thompson values Anicira’s collaborative, supportive environment and the opportunity it provides to make a meaningful difference for pets and their families.
At home, Dr. Thompson’s own animal family includes a horse named Rafiki, a dog named Bee, and two cats named Penny and Leonard. In her free time, she enjoys riding her horse, taking long walks with her spouse and dog, gardening, and exploring new places through travel. A proud New Mexico native, she never passes up a dish made with Hatch Green Chile.
