Dr. Shifflett earned her undergraduate biology degree from the University of North Carolina Wilmington, with a minor in chemistry, before completing her veterinary degree at the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine. She has been part of the Anicira team since 2020, providing compassionate, comprehensive care for pets in the local community and beyond.
Her professional interests include soft tissue surgery, dentistry, and personalized medical and wellness care tailored to each pet and family. Dr. Shifflett is passionate about strengthening the bond between pets and their families by helping them overcome unique challenges and ensuring pets receive quality care at nearly any budget.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and their beloved pets — two Labrador Retrievers, a Setter, a Poodle mix, and two snuggly cats.
