Dr. DeRosa earned her B.S. in Biology and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine in 2000, followed by an M.S. in Veterinary Science in 2002. With more than 23 years of experience in veterinary medicine, she brings a deep commitment to making quality veterinary care accessible to all. Her early experiences growing up with limited access to veterinary services, as well as participating in mission trips to Bolivia, shaped her resourceful and compassionate approach to solving complex medical and surgical cases.
At Anicira, Dr. DeRosa focuses on uncovering the root causes of medical issues and helping pet families implement solutions to prevent future problems. Her professional interests include dermatology and internal medicine, and she strives to make each pet’s visit as comfortable and stress-free as possible. She is dedicated to helping every patient achieve the longest, happiest, and healthiest life possible.
Outside of work, Dr. DeRosa enjoys gardening, spending time with her family, and teaching her Sunday School class. She shares her home with two beloved dogs — Bonnie, a Chihuahua adopted through Anicira, and Jolene, a mixed-breed birthday gift from Pennsylvania.
