Cate is the visionary force behind Anicira Veterinary Centers, serving as its founding Chief Executive Officer since January 2005. With a steadfast commitment to advancing the health and well-being of pets and their families, Cate has devoted her career to transforming the landscape of accessible, high-quality veterinary care. Under her leadership, Anicira has grown significantly in both the number of non-human family members served and the scope of services offered, establishing itself as a leader in providing compassionate and affordable veterinary medicine.
Cate holds a Master of Science degree in Public Policy and Animals from Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government from the University of Virginia. In addition, Cate is a Certified Animal Welfare Administrator (CAWA) and a Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM).
Throughout her career, Cate has been driven by a clear vision to break down barriers to veterinary care and ensure that all pets have access to the treatment they deserve. Her leadership has been instrumental in shaping Anicira’s mission and expanding its impact within the communities it serves.
Cate shares her life with her spouse, daughter, and three adopted mixed-breed dogs—Bernadette, Liliana, and Louie.
