Celebration of Pets Festival 2023

Join us as we celebrate the very special pets in your life.

This fun and FREE admission event will take place on Saturday, September 16th from 11am to 4pm at beautiful rustic farm in in McGaheysville. We welcome dogs and their families to enjoy a special day to celebrate the special bond between people and pets!

After you walk, it’s time to celebrate! The festival features exciting games and activities for the whole family, music, and delicious food and beverages.

Don’t have a pet? Everyone is welcome at the Celebration of Pets Festival! Plenty of attendees do not own pets or have pets that prefer to stay home.

Activities Schedule

Registration: 11am - 12pm
Please bring valid identification if you would like to purchase alcoholic beverages.

Warm-Up and Welcome: 11:45am
Stretch your legs before the walk begins.

The Walk for Animals Begins: 12pm
Participants will choose between two trails: an easy one-mile loop and a moderate two-mile loop. More info on the trails is coming soon.

Food, Beverages & Kid Zone: 11 - 4pm
Enjoy delicious food and beverages for the whole family. Kids' activities include face painting, sand art, and tie-dye.

Dog Activities: 12 - 4pm
Challenge your dog's senses with dog field games including bobbing for treats, doggy canvas painting, doggy pools, agility objects, pie-eating contest, and treasure hunt.

Including dog pools, dog canvas painting, a pie-eating contest, musical mats, a bubble machine, & a treasure hunt.

 

Live Music

The Reflex recreates the sound, vibe, and look of those 80’s mega-bands and one-hit wonders you love offering a full-on retro experience with a diverse set list of “must play” 80’s tunes.

Fun Zone

The beautiful Shenandoah Valley Farm sits on 110 acres of scenic natural beauty near the base of Massanutten.

Walking Courses

Enjoy an easy 0.6-mile loop that features two lively ponds and a wide-open field. This route takes about 15 to 20 minutes to complete at a leisurely pace.

Explore all that Shenandoah Valley Farm has to offer. This route takes you by two ponds, through the wide-open field, and up a steady hill to a beautiful view of Massanutten Mountain. It will take 30 – 45 minutes to complete at a leisurely pace.
