The Celebration of Pets Festival will take place on Saturday, September 14th from 11am to 4pm at a beautiful rustic farm in McGaheysville, just 15 minutes east of Harrisonburg. We welcome dogs and their families to enjoy a special day to celebrate the special bond between people and pets!
After you walk, it’s time to celebrate! The festival features exciting games and activities for the whole family, music, and delicious food and beverages.
Don’t have a pet? Everyone is welcome at the Celebration of Pets Festival! Plenty of attendees do not own pets or have pets that prefer to stay home.

The Walk for Animals Begins: 12pm
Participants will choose between two trails: an easy loop and a moderate hike. More info on the trails is below.
Food, Beverages & Kid Zone: 11 - 4pm
Enjoy delicious food and beverages and activities for the whole family. Kids' activities include face painting, sand art, and tie-dye.
Dog Activities: 12 - 4pm
Challenge your dog's senses with dog field games including bobbing for treats, doggy canvas painting, doggy pools, pie-eating contest, and treasure hunt.

The beautiful Shenandoah Valley Farm sits on 110 acres of scenic natural beauty near the base of Massanutten.
Enjoy an easy 0.75-mile loop that features two lively ponds and a wide-open field. This route takes about 15 to 20 minutes to complete at a leisurely pace.
Explore all that Shenandoah Valley Farm has to offer. This route takes you by two ponds, through the wide-open field, and up a steady hill to a beautiful view of Massanutten Mountain. It will take 30 – 45 minutes to complete at a leisurely pace.
Yes, well-behaved and friendly dogs are welcome on a leash. Retractable leashes are discouraged.
