Laney Saved After Eating Rat Poison
Laney accidentally ingested half of a block of rat poison, which would have killed her without the quick action of her mother and veterinary intervention from Operation Free Pet Healthcare.
Anicira’s Operation Free Pet Healthcare provides free wellness, medical, surgical, and dental care for underserved cats and dogs. The program was started in December 2019 to address the lack of access to veterinary care within the Harrisonburg and Rockingham County communities of Virginia. Veterinary care is the foundation of a pet’s health, and through this program, we are working towards our vision of ending animal suffering. The program is designed to protect and enhance the human and non-human animal bond by keeping pets and their families together.
