Emergency Surgery Saves Boozer’s Life

Our doctors discovered a mass on Boozer’s spleen that required emergency surgery. Without surgery, his spleen could have ruptured causing an emergency situation that could have been fatal.

Boozer’s family had been experiencing economic hardships but knew the surgery was important to save Boozer’s life. His mom considers Boozer her four-legged son and wanted to do everything she could to save him.

Thanks to the grant from the Hildred Neff Memorial Fund of The Community Foundation of Harrisonburg & Rockingham County given to assist pets using Operation Free Pet Healthcare, Anicira was able to provide Boozer with the lifesaving splenectomy procedure.
